2009 Silver Gloves District Championships
Thank you to CA. Border LBC#44 USA Boxing, all the boxers and the volunteers for making the 2009 Silver Gloves District Championships a success. Congratulations to CYAC's Angel "Huesitos de Oro" Enriquez on a big win.
SDSU Field Trip
The staff at Community Youth Athletic Center put on their construction boots on a daily basis to construct healthy bodies and minds. We had a great time at San Diego State supplying our kids with the tools that will make college a reality.

Thanksgiving Dinner
On behalf of all the kids that pursue their dreams in our four walls, we would like to THANK the National Latino Peace Officer Association, San Diego Chapter for making a memorable night of food and fun!!!

National City Amateur Boxing Championships
Community Youth Athletic Center hosted the 2nd Annual National City Amateur Boxing Championships. The event was a true success with twelve bouts and boxing clubs coming in as far as Las Vegas. We would like to personally thank Nutrition Zone, Chula Vista, Heartland Meat Company, Sweetwater High School and all the boxers, coaches and volunteers that made the event a great one.

National City Family Thanksgiving Dinner
Several hundred families enjoy Fun, Friendship and all the Thanksgiving fixin’ at Sweetwater as Community Youth Athletic Center, Turning the Hearts Center and Cornerstone Church of San Diego came together to present the 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Volunteers and dignitaries all strapped on an apron to wait and bring a smile to National City families.
