Message From Our Executive Director I’ve been in and out of Juvenile Hall and Campo. I have been kickin’ it with the neighborhood. A lot of people just gave up on me, so I thought I would keep rollin’ like this.” That’s what many tell me when they first arrive at Community Youth Athletic Center. Now with the positive changes in their lives, they can’t stop sharing to family, friends and supporters the great thing happening at our “House of Respect” For many of San Diego’s at-risk youth, the path to a more positive lifestyle could feel like a long and impossible maze. These young people need encouragement, support, and guidance to escape the danger that awaits them on the streets and ultimately becoming positive and contributing members of society. And each year CYAC provides just that. Success stories could not exist with out supporters like you. As CYAC goes into its sixteenth year, it has become much more then a boxing program. It has become a youth center providing hope and improving the quality of life for hundreds of San Diego’s at-risk youth. So come along side of us and be a part of the “making a difference one round at a time” philosophy Carlos Barragan, Executive Director Follow Us
